There are many confused words in English which look alike or sound alike or  look and sound alike but have different meanings such as affect and effect. So we confuse these words each other. Here there are two words which are mostly confused and misused in English.

( Two and Too )

Two

/tuː/ – noun

Meaning: 

“Two” is a cardinal number. / the number two

Examples: 

  • We are two best friends.
  • I have two pencils.
  • They have lived in Mexico for two years.




Too

/tu:/ – adverb

Meaning:

“Too” means in addition, also, furthermore, moreover.

Examples:

  •  Can I join the game too?
  •  Are you coming too?
  •  He is young, clever and rich too.
