
Homophone means pronounced the same as another word. However the words which are homophones have different meanings and/or spellings.
(“Homo-” means the same, “-phone” means sound. “Homophone” means the same sound.)
Examples:
- The words “mail” and “male” are homophones. ( They are pronounced the same but we can not use “mail” instead of “male” in a sentence.)

Kindly add a seperate column with there meaning as well….it hard to understand the word without proper meaning …everytime you have to see the dictionary to know the meaning …
